Gordon Murray Automotive have essentially re-created the McLaren F1 with the stunning new GMA S1. After the ultra-exclusive GMSV S1 LM was released to thunderous applause, Gordon Murray has gone one step further this time. this S1 is the closest yet we have got to a brand-new modern day F1, and in my opinion it’s more beautiful than the original.
At play here is GMA’s Cosworth-developed naturally aspirated V12 engine, 4.2L in capacity, revving to an insane 12,100 rpm, and producing 680 hp and 369 lb-ft. It has a six-speed manual transmission with a long-ratio cruising gear, polished Inconel exhaust system, and of course a 24-karat gold plated heat shield.
