Pininfarina shows off their tribute to Nino Farina, the first ever Formula 1 World Champion. It was 1950 and the FIA had organised the first Grand Prix races that would comprise a World Championship. Farina drove in a team of three drivers at Alfa Romeo, going on to win three races in England, Switzerland and Italy. This was enough to claim the championship title, and cement him as the first.
Paolo Dellachà, Chief Executive Officer for Automobili Pininfarina, said: “The Battista Edizione Nino Farina represents the vision of our talented Design team, paying an evocative tribute to an undisputed legend of the Pininfarina family and its heritage. An untold story about the spirit and the courage of a man driven by a racing passion like no other.”
