Ford’s Focus ST hot hatch is getting a mid-life refresh with subtle styling changes and tech upgrades. Bringing the ST in line with the rest of the Focus family, Ford have fitted slimmer LED headlights and a new front grille which follows Ford’s new corporate look. The rear gets even fewer changes with only the taillights being revised slightly.
Mechanically the new Focus ST stays the same with the engine, transmission, suspension and chassis. On the inside a new larger touchscreen has been introduced to handle more functionality like the HVAC system, allowing Ford to remove the various buttons and switches from the lower dash. Personally I prefer actual physical buttons, knobs and dials in cars, but the current industry trend continues to push these controls onto touchscreens.
