Bentley’s flagship has returned to the Continental line-up, with the new Speed boasting upgrades to the chassis, engine and styling. Visually, the Speed has new 22-inch wheels to fill the arches, carbon fiber inserts for the rear diffuser and spoiler, front splitter and side sills that are the same as found in the Mulliner carbon styling package. Overall the exterior styling changes are subtle when compared to the Continental GT.
The power increase is fairly minor as well, with the ageing W12 engine now delivering 650 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. That’s a raise of 24 hp and 0 lb-ft, with peak torque now available through a wider band in the rev range. 0-62 mph can be done 0.1 seconds faster at 3.6 seconds, and the top speed increases by 1 mph to 208 mph.
