Celebrating 100 years Alfa Romeo presents the Giulia GTA, a lighter, faster more track focused version of the Giulia Quadrifoglio. Production will be limited to 500 units made, and brings back the iconic Gran Turismo Alleggerita badge.
The 2.9L twin turbo V6 with rear wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission remain the same, with power increasing slightly to 540 PS (397 kW) from 510 PS (375 kW) of the standard Giulia QV. The real magic lies in the weight loss program. Alfa Romeo have increased the amount of carbon fiber used with the seats, boot lid, wheel arch extensions, front bumper and driveshaft all consisting the of light weight construction material. This has resulted in the Giulia GTA weighing in at only 1,520 kg, which is over 100 kilograms lighter and forms a large part of the GTA’s track credentials.
