Denza, premium sub-brand of BYD, are targeting the sports car market with the new 1,582 hp Denza Z. This 2+2 coupe is fitted with three electric motors which combine for that very high total power output, and 915 lb-ft of torque. When it’s fitted with optional semi-slick tyres, the 0 to 62 mph time clocks in at 1.96 seconds, without those tyres that time drops to 2.25 seconds. Same with the top speed with the standard 186 mph rising to 217 mph. Denza are also releasing a track-only version of the Z called the Special Edition, which will boast around 2,000 hp and over 2000kg of downforce. Watch out for that one.
