New Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport could be the last petrol-powered Golf GTI as the all-electric Mk9 Golf nears. As part of the Mk8.5 generation Golf, the 2025 GTI Clubsport uses the same 269 hp, 295 lb-ft engine as before. The brakes, Vehicle Dynamics Manager, steering and damping have all been tweaked or upgraded including a special mode designed to optimise the car for the Nürburgring race track. The styling changes are minor, but an improvement overall.
