Tesla has revealed its fully autonomous taxi with a planned start to production of 2026, will they deliver on time? Also known as the Cybercab, the Robotaxi is set to feature inductive (wireless) charging and of course full unsupervised self-driving capabilities. Tesla have been running their supervised self-driving software on various models for several years now, but the jump to a completely safe and unsupervised mode is a big one. Add in the usual delays associated with new Tesla models, and it may take a few years beyond that ambitious 2026 until we see these on the road.
