Kimera, the company behind the EVO37 Lancia 037 restomod , have set their sights on the Pike’s Peak hillclimb record set by the electric Volkswagen ID R . Called the K39, Kimera are claiming their new racer to be the first ‘hyper retromod’ that will be styled to look like the road car but use a bespoke carbonfibre monocoque underneath. Not much is known at this point about the mechanical make-up of the K39, but it’s expected to run a twin-charged 2.2L inline 4 engine with a power output well beyond 600 hp.
