Ferrari’s one-make Challenger racing series will enter its ninth generation with the reveal of the Ferrari 296 Challenge. The outgoing racer is the 488 Challenge which was introduced in 2017 and enjoyed 7 years of racing in the series. Based on the road going 296 GTB , the 296 Challenge loses the complexity of the hybrid system and keeps the twin turbocharged V6 engine like its 296 GT3 stablemate .
