2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray

Coupe · 2024

For the first time the Chevrolet Corvette is going hybrid, pairing the traditional V8 with a compact electric motor. Positioned on the front axle, the electric motor contributes an additional 160 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque into the mix and is backed by a small 1.9 kWh battery pack. With the 6.2L V8 engine producing 495 hp and 470 lb-ft, they both combine for a total system output of 655 hp and 595 lb-ft.

Thanks to the addition of an all-wheel drive setup, the Corvette E-Ray can accelerate from 0-60 mph in only 2.5 seconds and run a quarter mile in just 10.5 seconds at 130 mph. A pure EV mode will be available for silent driving, but the limited battery capacity should reduce the range of that mode significantly.
