Cadillac are once again attempting to live up to the “Standard of the World” title with the stunning Celestiq. That slogan of Cadillac’s has been hard to achieve in years gone by, with a mixture of cars failing to meet the standard buyers expected. Now the electric age is upon us, and Cadillac have seized the opportunity to have another crack at it whilst rivalling the Bentley’s and Rolls-Royce’s of the world.
Eighteen feet long with a low-slung roofline, the Celestiq looks much like the concept car from 2022 . In fact, it follows the same theme as the recently released Lyriq SUV , although Cadillac claim the Celestiq was penned first. The powertrain consists of two electric motors coupled to a 111 kWh battery pack capable of 200 kW fast charging and estimated driving range of 300 miles. Expect peak power to come in somewhere close to the 600 hp mark with 640 lb-ft of torque.
