2023 Ferrari 296 GT3

Coupe · 2023

Ferrari’s latest GT3 challenger has been revealed, and it features a few new tricks up it’s sleeve. With guiding principles of an easier to run and work on race car, the 296 GT3 has completely detachable front and rears ends to aid in serviceability by teams. These end sections come off in one piece with just one electrical connector each for the entire section.

The engine chosen for the job retains the same architecture and capacity of the unit in the road-going 296. That means a 120-degree 3.0L twin turbocharged V6 with the wide angle chosen to house the turbos inside the vee for a more tighter package. The hybrid system of the 296 GTB is not present due to the GT3 rules not permitting it. Expect the 296 GT3 to mak it’s race debut at the first round of the 2023 IMSA SportsCar Championship with the Daytona 24 Hours.
