Here is the all-new Subaru BRZ which is one again set to launch alongside the nearly identical Toyota GR86. Featuring a larger 2.4L Flat 4 engine, the 2022 BRZ has more power and torque than previously, but continues to forgo the turbocharger many fans have wished for over the years.
The power output quoted for the new BRZ is up from 205 hp to 225 hp with torque rising from 211 Nm to 250 Nm. Not huge gains by any measure, but surely welcome to many as the BRZ has never been about big power. The formula for the original seems to be the same here, a small rear-drive, front engined coupe that is fun to drive and offers a playful character even at low speeds.
