Renault have revealed an electric drift car concept inspired by the Renault 5 Turbo from the 1980’s. Called the R5 Turbo 3E, Renault have endowed it with a couple of electric motors positioned on the rear axle that combine to generate 374 hp with a 42 kWh battery and 980 kilograms of weight.
The design follows closely to the original with a modern and edgy twist done to great effect. It’s aggressive and has a giant rear wing that almost looks comical but would not look out of place whilst drifting sideways around a corner.
