The John Cooper Works Mini has received a minor facelift for 2022, eking more life out of the aging platform. The visual changes are hard to notice for the 2022 model year with changes to the lower side air intakes on the front bumper, rear diffuser and bumper design and wheels.
Mechanically the JCW Mini stays mostly the same with a 2.0L turbocharged inline 4 engine that produces the same power and torque figures of 228 hp and 236 lb-ft. Accelerating from 0-62 mph can be done in 6.3 seconds when equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission, or a slightly faster 6.1 seconds with the optional 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission.
