Celebrating 45 years of the iconic Golf GTI Volkswagen have released the GTI Clubsport 45, a special edition version of their hottest hatch. The Clubsport is already the most hardcore Golf in the line-up, and the 45 edition makes it a little more special with custom badging, different wheels and some weight reduction.
Whilst the Clubsport 45 uses the same engine with the same power and torque as the regular Clubsport, a titanium sports exhaust has been fitted to improve flow and amplify the exhaust note. Special 19-inch “Scottsdale” wheels feature red pin striping around the edges and are finished in a high-gloss black. The side mirrors and rear spoiler are finished in metallic black, and “45” stickers are present on the lower side sills next to a honeycomb motif.
