Elation HyperCars have given the first details about their future all electric sped machine, with up to 1,903 hp and 260 mph promised. The Elation Freedom is the name, and the game is lots of power, torque and speed from a package that is planned to go into production by late 2022. Whether that ever happens remains to be seen, as there have been plenty of cars like come and go without much of a whimper.
The base model will come with 3 electric motors fed by a large 100 kWh battery and producing 1,414 hp. For those wanting more, and extra motor can be optioned and a bigger 120 kWh battery pack fitted bringing the peak power total up to 1,903 hp. With big numbers like those comes big performance, and the Freedom doesn’t disappoint with a quoted 0-60 mph time of 1.8 seconds and a rapid top speed of 260 mph.
