Looking towards the future of Buicks electric dreams is the Electra concept, a crossover that gives a peak at Buick’s forthcoming styling. A new design language called “potential energy” is a show here, utilising what Buick is calling clean and bold styling that seamlessly integrates technology.
Some of that technology includes a new-generation electric propulsion system comprising of 2 electric motors positioned on each axle, and an advanced Ultium battery. Even though that Ultium name sounds like it came straight from a Hollywood script, Buick are claiming a 90% reduction in the amount of internal wires with their new battery pack design. Electric range is expected to exceed 410 miles on a single charge which is nice, and the 0-62 mph sprint is quoted at 4.3 seconds.
