
Ultima Sports have been making very fast track weapons for 35 years in the form of light weight & powerful motorsport-inspired cars. For 2019, the Leicestershire based company has created an all new model called the RS, a hypercar with even more extreme performance than ever before.
An all new body has been created that is based off a Le Mans Group C racer, that is made from carbon fiber and is very light. The engine of choice for the Ultima RS is the Chevrolet 6.2L V8 LT crate engine that will be available in multiple levels of tune. The range starts with the 480 horsepower LT1, then steps up to the 650 horsepower LT4, and onwards to the 800 horsepower supercharged LT5. For hose seeking the top level of performance, Ultima have tuned the LT5 up to a peak power output of 1,200 horsepower. When considering the low kerb weight of around 2,050 lbs (930 kg) depending on spec, the RS boasts an incredible power to weight ratio of as much as 1,311 hp per tonne.
