The Chevrolet C7 Corvette has finally arrived, and with it, it has brought back the Stingray name. Replacing the outgoing C6 generation Corvette, the recipe remains the same as always, rear drive with a V8 in the front and driver in the middle. What more could you want.
The naturally aspirated 6.2L LT1 V8 engine delivers peak output of 455 horsepower, and 460 lb-ft of torque. The light weight chassis prpvides a perfect 50/50 weight distribution, and allows for a better power to weight ratio than the Porsche 911 Carrera and Audi R8. The new Corvette will be available with a choice of either a six-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission or a Tremec TR6070 seven-speed manual complete with active rev matching for upshifts and downshifts.
