A special edition version of Mazda’s four-door, four-seat rotary engine sports car. The RX-8 Spirit R will be the final special edition model Mazda RX-8 as production is set to end in June 2012. Mazda expects to sell 1,000 units of the Spirit R exclusively for the Japanese market.
Based on the RX-8 Type RS with six-speed manual transmission, it is named after the final limited edition Mazda RX-7 Spirit R . Special features include exclusive seat designs, coloured alloy wheels and extra safety systems like Mazda’s curtain and front side SRS airbags.
