Michael Schumacher unveiled the 430 Scuderia in 2007 at the Frankfurt Auto Show. This is the light weight, high power track focused version of Ferraris mid engine V8 coupe, following on from the 360 Challenge Stradale. Competing against the likes of Lamborghinis Gallardo Superleggera and the Porsche RS models, the Scuderia was needed to keep the 430 relevant against increased competition.
The extra power was gained from a revised intake, exhaust, and higher compression ratio. The lighter weight meant a better power to weight ratio, and the transmission gained quicker shift times at 60 milliseconds. The traction control system was also improved to further enhance the 430 Scuderia’s potency.
