Topless 550 harks back to the classic open-top front-engined V12 Ferrari sports car. Styled by Pininfarina, the 550 Barchetta is a limited edition model with 448 produced to salute the 70th anniversary of Pininfarina.
Make no mistake, they didn’t just remove the roof and call it a day. The windscreen features a traditional Barchetta-style cut that is 100mm lower than the coupe, and the lower parts of the surrounds have body-coloured finishes. The soft top roof is a purely manual affair, with owners required to install it themselves when the conditions dictate, a sign that Ferrari intends the 550 Barchetta be driven as an open-air experience.
